Secretary Mark Llandro L. Mendoza, Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs and Head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), conducted a Command Visit to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) National Headquarters, 09 October 2023.
Secretary Mendoza, together with the PLLO contingent: Asst. Sec. Rose Virginie Iñigo, Dir. Rickee Gerald Brieva, Mr. Joseph Aaron Del Rosario, Mr. Vene Sean Aljas, Mr. Jose Gerardo Carreon, Mr. Antonio Alberto De Leon and Mr. Ferdinand Palaspas II, was welcomed by PCG officials led by its Commandant CG ADM ARTEMIO M. ABU; Deputy Commandant for Operations CG VADM ROLANDO LIZOR N. PUNZALAN JR.; Deputy Commandant for Administration CG VADM RONNIE GIL L GAVAN; and Chief of Coast Guard Staff CG COMMO JOEVEN L FABUL.
During the conference, officials of the PCG presented the various roles and functions of PCG and how they ensure the peace, safety and security within the country’s maritime and economic zones. The legislative advocacies of the PCG were also discussed.
Secretary Mendoza thereafter asserted the strong partnership between the PCG and the PLLO. He also assured that the PLLO will always support the PCG as they work together for good governance and public service.
